Review: An Anonymous Girl

Image
An Anonymous Girl by Greer Hendricks My rating: 0 of 5 stars BLOWN AWAY ONCE AGAIN! These authors have defined the phrase "page turner". Not only was I kept on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading it but I kept trying to figure out what would happen next and was wrong each time. That kept me wanting more. The twists and turns kept me guessing and was definitely an unputdownable book. I would definitely suggest this book to be read in any book club meeting since there are lots of elements to discuss and I'm sure lots of opinions as well. I'm looking forward to the next book by this creative duo. View all my reviews

Review: A Midwinter's Tail

A Midwinter's Tail by Bethany Blake My rating: 0 of 5 stars This is my favorite book in the series so far!! Not only did it contain a naughty pug (like my own) but I am coming to love the characters more and more with each new book. The mystery was well planned and I really enjoy the pet bakery aspect of the series. I will be looking forward to reading more books by this author!! View all my reviews

Review: If the Coffin Fits

Image
If the Coffin Fits by Lillian Bell My rating: 5 of 5 stars Desiree “Death Ray” Turner can’t seem to keep her nose clean. All she has to do at her family’s funeral home is talk to the bereaved in a kind and sympathetic manner. What she ends up doing is accusing them of murder!! Since she can’t accept the fact that one woman was killed in an accident, not only does Desiree end up adopting her dog but she also sniffs out a murderer! This book in the the 2nd in the Funeral Parlor mystery series and it was just as good as the 1st. Desiree, her friends and her family are relatable, the setting is unique, and the mystery contained enough twists and turns to keep you guessing until the very end. What gives this book an extra star is the mystery within the mystery concerning Desiree’s (presumed dead) father. Desiree uncovers more clues and leaves us with such an intriguing cliffhanger at the end that you will be eager to read the next in the series. I definit...
