Review: Death of a Blueberry Tart

Image
Death of a Blueberry Tart by Lee Hollis My rating: 5 of 5 stars This series just keeps getting better and better! Not only are the mysteries well planned but I enjoy the characters who are fun and relatable (I know how Hayley felt with her mother hanging around LOL). The columns from the Island Times as well as the recipes add a unique aspect to the series. I always read these books in one sitting and look forward to the next book in this series. Review: A Spell for Trouble

Image
A Spell for Trouble by Esme Addison My rating: 5 of 5 stars A great first in series! A clever setting and interesting characters. I felt that the author did a good job in setting the scene for a well planned mystery with a fun paranormal element. I definitely plan to read the next book in this series. View all my reviews

Review: The Dilemma

Image
The Dilemma by B.A. Paris My rating: 4 of 5 stars I wasn't sure what the point of this Adam and Livia's story was but as I read I figured out the "dilemma" was different for each of them. Should they tell their spouse something that would impact their lives in an irreversible way? Should they prolong the inevitable? The dilemma they each face has the potential to tear their family apart so the reader either sympathizes with them or berates them for being cowardly and indecisive! I had mixed feelings about each character but I felt that there was a satisfying ending even though there wasn't the typical "twist" that this author is known for. I look forward to reading more books by this author. View all my reviews

Review: Tide and Punishment

Image
Tide and Punishment by Bree Baker My rating: 5 of 5 stars Another fun installment in A Seaside Cafe Mystery series! I believe this series is best if read from the beginning to get to know all of the characters. The mystery was well planned and I really love reading about the delightful town the book set in. I have enjoyed all three book in the series but was disappointed to find in my ARC that there weren't recipes at the end of the book as there was in the first book. I look forward to more books in this series. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book via NetGalley. View all my reviews
